Since entering the outdoor industry, Malik has become a powerful voice for diversity and representation for the Black community. He tackles racism, hypocrisy, and apathy head-on, working to make the climbing world more welcoming for all. Hailing from South Memphis and currently residing in Denver, Malik’s impact extends globally through his films “Black Ice” and upcoming projects like “Outside Ain’t Free” and a collaboration with Burtons Culture Shifters.
