Negus in Nature (NIN) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit championing a vital mission: empowering BIPOC communities to reclaim their connection with nature and become leaders in environmental justice.
NIN aim provide a safe and healing space for Black people to remember their oneness with nature.

Who
are we?
We recognize that systemic barriers, rooted in historical trauma and racial inequities, have excluded BIPOC individuals from experiencing the benefits of the outdoors. NIN breaks down these barriers by creating safe and inclusive nature experiences that integrate STEAM education.
Our core mission is to challenge the prevailing narratives that have historically excluded the global majority from outdoor spaces and the broader trajectory of our collective journey.
We are dedicated to elevating the presence and participation of individuals from the African diaspora in outdoor activities by creating inclusive platforms that prioritize mental well-being and self-care through exploration and education learned in real time with the transformative embrace of nature.
